OUR RATING: 4.5 out of 5
After 40 days on test, this has been something of a revelation. I have eaten my fill of humble pie, and I shall never again be tempted to think I know the contents of a book simply by glancing at it’s cover.
When I first discovered that the Favourites Phenomenon system was based around a Stop At A Winner (SAW) system I was quick to assume that before long we would blow the entire bank assigned to this test, and be headed for that Poor-House in cyberspace. Couldn’t have been more wrong!
This was the first time I had seen a SAW system backed up by sound statistics, and extensive research. No stable whispers, inside information, or any other such tripe. Just good, old-fashioned statistics – which I happen to like. Whilst having no relevance to the performance of the system, it has also to be said that the author Matt Watson is a totally nice chap and his attention to customer service is among the most impressive we have ever experienced.
Almost every email I have received from Matt, as well as answering my query, also gave me a nugget of advice. Matt is one of only a few that I know who go that extra mile to help and educate.
In my opening comments I said that Matt has developed so much more than a simple betting system. I stand by that – FP System is more of an education program and a betting method rolled into one.
I spent 40 days following the FP System with a total of 30 days where I actual had a bet. There is some sensible risk management advice contained in the guide which I found massively helpful in decided whether or not to play on any one particular day. So I ended up playing safe and not betting on 10 days out of the 40.
During those 30 betting days I bagged 30 points profit, and most days my so-called “work” was complete after two or three races. On a few days I had to play in five races, but it was never what I would call stressful.
The biggest single stake I placed was a little under £80 (or 8 points) and the most I ever staked in one day was £123 So nothing to worry about unduly there, especially if you heed Matt’s advice on money management and take care to set up a sensible betting bank.
I learnt of an unexpected bonus about half way through my testing period. Matt informed me there was a FP System betting ‘bot’ available and developed specifically for use alongside this system. This means you do not even have to be in front of your PC to operate this system. The ‘bot’ does all the work for you and it’s just a case of “set and forget”.
There is something in me which prefers to be there when I place my bets, so I haven’t used this ‘bot’ personally. But it has been approved by Betfair so if you are working during the afternoon, it is an ideal solution.
In Summary:
There will be those who simply will not touch a SAW system with a barge pole. If that includes you then I respect that decision. Theoretically all SAW systems will blow your betting bank eventually. But theoretically you could start a losing run of 100 bets tomorrow and your conventional level stakes plan could blow your bank too. And theoretically you could be struck by lightning tomorrow. I’m guessing you won’t stay indoors if the skies turn grey?
This is not the place for that debate. All I am saying is that betting involves risk. The FP System along with the author’s advice, keeps a lid on excessive and unnecessary risk, and generates consistent and reliable profits.
So, do I recommend the FP System? If you are prepared to accept the potential pitfalls of a SAW system, and play strictly by the rules of risk and money management given by Matt Watson, then absolutely 100% this is something to have in your arsenal. The support and advice from a genuine betting professional is second to none – so get involved.
