Richard Dunwoody’s online tipster service

by Paul on March 31, 2010 · 2 comments

This is just a very brief post in case anyone had come across this service, and may be considering signing up.

I approached RichardDunwoody.co.uk (managed by Richard Dunwoody Racing Associates) at the end of February to ask if I could trial the service for a month with a view to producing a review for readers of SkyBlueKangaroo. I was told my request would need to be given the OK by the Accounts Department, but they would get back to me as soon as possible. I followed up my enquiry yesterday, around a month later, as I had not had the courtesy of a reply.

This was their response:

Dear Paul, I am sorry I haven’t been in touch – its been a very busy month with Cheltenham and now Aintree upon us. I am afraid it is not our policy to offer any type of free membership, I hope you understand.

Think twice!

Personally, I am always sceptical if a service is not prepared to allow independent scrutiny. It was a particularly disappointing reply, given that the service boasts “transparency” as one of its selling points on the sales page.

Obviously I am not in a position to comment upon the profitability or otherwise of the RichardDunwoody.co.uk service, but for the reasons given above, I could not recommend anyone risk their money by signing up, when there are plenty of other services around who are not afraid to have their performance put to the test in public.

Phoned once – found out he was in hospital having an operation.
Put the phone down after SIX minutes with no tips given.
Have received many text messages from supposedly independent
jockeys only to find the number to ring is the same.
Don’t bother any more

Regards

John

I tried RD’s service early last year; they were always ‘tipping’ odds-on’ favorites and, during my pay-as-you play type subscription had the amazing stats of 6 straight losers. Got out asap.
