I started following this laying system Betting Against Horses For Profit by Henry McAnenly at the beginning of December. Not much more information to give you today I’m afraid. There has been just the one qualifying bet since my last update. Happily this was a loser, and so a winning bet for the system. We have now had 20 days with qualifying bets. I intend continuing the trial until I have at least thirty days’ results to show, but with a thaw not looking to present itself any time soon, and no-one I know willing to hold their breath whilst waiting for a return to turf racing, this trial could carry on for a while yet.
This is a summary of the results since 1st December:
Number of selections: 35
Winning bets: 28
Strike rate: 80%
Profit/loss: +20.07pts
I’m taking into account a 5% commission on winning bets.

So this laying system continues to give positive, if very steady results. But any system can only highlight betting opportunities when such opportunities arise, and whilst horse racing in the UK is on a ‘go slow’ we just have to remain patient.
